For all of you that made the Streatham game last week, thanks for helping us out there on the ice.

We travel all over the country visiting other rinks and the fans instantly give them an advantage.

I can honestly say people are fearing a visit to Oxford City Stars already because of the number of fans which is great.

Obviously to get our first home and league win of the season was special and to beat the team that knocked us out of the play-offs last year is a step in the right direction.

After our home games we head over to see lifelong Stars fan and The Rose & Crown landlord Andrew Hall, we eat, drink and talk hockey - sometimes for hours.

This week the buzz around the place was great and the feeling was the same last year when we had found form.

The big test for us was this weekend with an away game in London and a cup game on Sunday versus Milton Keynes.

I would like to get a run going and send a message to the teams we haven't played yet.

We are looking sharper in training every week and the new faces are gelling fast.

Tom Annetts is out with an injury which has instigated Simon Anderson to bring back Shannon 'trashtalk' Long.

He doesn't just stop pucks he has a habit of joining the crowd and hurling abuse at the opposing players, in fact sometimes even his own players which is entertaining for anyone!

He's a massive character from last year and let's hope he can help us through this tough spot.
