OXFORDSHIRE 2nd fell to a five-wicket defeat against Herefordshire in their friendly match.
Will Hawtin hit 54 from 58 deliveries and Olly Clarke scored 48, before being run out as Oxon posted 242-8 off their 46 overs at Aston Rowant.
Herefordshire’s Benny Ellis then took the game away from the hosts, hitting an unbeaten 72 as his side got home in the 45th over.
Max Mannering was the pick of the Oxfordshire bowlers with 2-58.
Meanwhile, Oxfordshire beat Buckinghamshire by four runs in a thrilling ECB Under 17 County Championship Division 2B clash.
The two-day game, which only saw one innings per side, was in the balance after the hosts posted 191 all out at Aston Rowant.
Plenty of Oxfordshire batsmen made starts, but could not go on to make big scores, Asad Rafiq top-scoring with 34.
Bucks were always in the hunt and looked like recording a narrow success but Charon Chahal trapped their No 11 leg before with the score on 187.
Alex Chapman was the pick of the bowlers with 3-27, well-supported by Olly Clarke (3-45) and Chahal (3-43).
