FOOTBALL: Leaders Chequers cruise to victory over Summertown Stars
CHEQUERS’ march at the top of the Oxford City FA Premier Division continued with a 3-0 win at home to Summertown Stars.
Otis Woodward, Kelvin Sherman and Kieron Jones scored for the leaders, who take on Stars in the CJL Cup final on Saturday at Abingdon Town.
At the weekend, Mark James (3), Jordan Logan and Edward Tye scored in Brookes University’s 5-1 win at ten-man Masons Arms. Natty Jackson replied.
Goals from Edgar M Flores and Moyo Obe helped Summertown Stars beat Thame United Churches 2-0.
