Sandford St Martin made an inauspicious start to the defence of their Banbury Indoor League Division 1 title when they lost by two wickets to Hook Norton.
Martin Anson (35) and Chris Thompson (33) took Sandford to113 all out, despite a fine spell of 3-25 from Adam Bennett.
Hooky passed this with three balls to spare thanks to Dan White’s unbeaten 30.
