PAUL Harrop won the fourth round of the Oxford Summer League on the River Thames at Sandford and Radley.
With some extra flow and colour in the water, it was hoped that the vast shoals of roach would start to feed, but bleak weights dominated.
Matrix Talismen’s Harrop had 500 bleak and small fish on a 4m whip and maggot, using sloppy groundbait feed, in his winning weight of 13lb 12oz from the in-form peg at Sandford.
His clubmate Paul Passmore was second (12.13), with mainly a bleak net on the whip and maggot.
Steve Townsend of Drennan Oxford took third with 12.8.

Predator Tackle shop owner Tony Wright headed the North Oxford AS annual outing on Laura’s Lagoon.
Although pegged on the unfavoured far side, Wright led the way with 49.8.0 of carp and bream.
Henry Clarke was second with 32.12.0 and Terry Lester third (28.0.0).
