HEIDI Yates will make her Great Britain debut at the World Triathlon Championships in Chicago next month.

The 34-year-old, a legal assistant at Banbury-based Spratt Endicott Solicitors, is in the 30-34 age event.

She will also be joined by her mother Kim Shaw, a former gold and bronze medallist, in representing Team GB.

She said: “I worked hard for it so I’m really pleased I made the cut.

“I’m really looking forward to being part of Team GB and giving it my all.”

The race will consist of a 1500m swim in Lake Michigan, a 25-mile bike ride around the city and finish with a 10km run.
