CHIPPING Norton’s Clark Glasgow was crowned national champion at the British Showjumping Business Partnership International Stairway League final.
Riding his mother Marjorie’s ten-year-old bay mare Fleur De L’Aube, Glasgow held his nerve to secure a thrilling success.
With the riders going in reverse order from the combined results at the British Showjumping National Championships, Glasgow was one of only two to manage a clear round.
But his time of 50.98secs was enough to claim victory.
Meanwhile, another Chipping Norton resident was celebrating success.
Emily Notman won the Stepping Stones 138cm title at the British Showjumping National Championships on 14 year-old gelding Bailey XII after a jump-off.
Oliver Fletcher, aged 12 from Faringdon, was part of the Great Britain team who won silver at the European Championships in Wiener Neustadt, Austria.
