MICHAEL Lobb says he’s determined to go on the attack in a year that could make or break his boxing ambitions.

The Didcot light-heavyweight is chomping at the bit to get back into the ring, having been kept away from the ring sidelined with an ankle injury after making a winning start to his career last May.

Lobb is set to be matched at the Camden Centre, London, on Saturday, February 7 – and the 28-year-old says he’s planning to put on a show.

He said: “I’m going to attack more.

“I’ve always been a counter-puncher, but I want to go out there, put on a show and make a name for myself this year.

“I think I’ve got all the punches and I want to get on the front foot and throw them.

“I want people to know who I am – and what I can do.

“I want to get a few wins under my belt this year and see what’s out there.

“I know I’ve probably only got three or four years left in boxing, so I can’t afford any slip-ups this year.

“But I’m willing to take the fights that will get me up the rankings.”

The show at Camden also features unbeaten heavyweight Dillian Whyte, who defeated Great Britain's Olympic gold medallist Anthony Joshua in the amateurs.

Tickets for the show are available from 07957 654260.
