Henry Clarke emerged on top when 15 anglers fished for North Oxford AS’s Brown Bros Cup on the Oxford Canal at King’s Bridge.

With only two boats disturbing the match, the canal fished well with an average of more than five pounds per angler being caught.

Clarke caught skimmers and perch on pinkie for a winning weight of 9.6.0 followed by Wayne Gray who had 8.2.0 of perch and small chub. Terry Whittington was third on 7.0.0.

Mick Merry easily won Tackley Sports’s Rock of Gibraltar competition on the Canal with 10.8.0 of bream caught on pole/waggler with maggot and worm bait.

Monty Finnemore (Predator) was second with 2.14.0, with Jeff Broome third on 2.6.0.
