Oxford City Stars welcome back some of their leading lights for this weekend’s South Division 1 double-header.

Coach Darren Elliott and key man James Pentecost are both set to ice away to Chelmsford Chieftains tonight (5.40pm) and at home to Milton Keynes tomorrow (6.15).

Both missed out on the Stars 6-1 defeat by Wightlink last week.

Joe Edwards is also looking sharper and is likely to feature this weekend.

There’s more good news as skipper James Clarke has returned to training, although it’s likely to be another week before he returns to competitive action.

The good news is tempered by revelations that Mike Whillock and Mason Wild are ruled out with long-term injuries.

Games won’t come much tougher than the Chelmsford trip, with their hosts undefeated and second in the table, having won four out of five so far.

Stars expect an excellent atmosphere tomorrow for the visit of fourth-placed Milton Keynes Thunder.
