First Game Quarry 1 -1 AYFC Greens (scorer for AYFC - James Rivers ) 2nd Game Quarry 0 - 6 AYFC Greens (Lincoln Moreton 5, Steven Woodhouse 1 ) “Abingdon Greens travelled to Quarry aiming to retain their unbeaten start to the season. Although after a sluggish start, Abingdon took the lead with a shot from the edge of the area by James Rivers, which bobbled over the unlucky Quarry keeper. Quarry started to get back into the game and scored. Both teams now seemed equally matched and the game ended 1-1.
The second game was a little more one sided with Abingdon producing some fine passing attacking football, Lincoln Moreton finishing off three for a first half hat-trick. They soon added a third through Steven Woodhouse with a shot from edge of the box. A spirited defensive performance by Quarry was unable stop the Abingdon waves of pressure will the “Greens” scoring a further 2 goals, all finished off by Lincoln Moreton.
