AFC Henley made a strong start to the game and closed down Tower Hill at every opportunity and could have took an early lead but their free kick was well saved by Owen Churchill in the Tower goal. Tower were struggling to find their form and AFC Henley took full advantage with all their players definitely up for the game and deservedly taking the lead with a fine effort from Liam Painter. Tower needed to up their game and and were unlucky not to equalize with Daniel Bullock's shot just going wide and a Harry Cornforth shot that was deflected for a corner. Half time score 1-0.
Tower started the second half much brighter and done everything but score with Yassin Elouahabi and Harry Cornforth both going close and then the excellent Henley keeper Sam Pocock denying Jacob Hughes with his shot. Pressure finally told with an equalizer coming from Luke Bolley. Tower were now playing well and were looking for the winner but once again Sam Pocock was in top form denying Jamie Harris from close range but unfortunately could not stop Yassin Elouahabi from Tower taking the lead.
AFC Henley kept battling right to the end and every player paid their part in an excellent all round team performance. Tower then secured victory with a fine volley from Adam Moore that found the back of the net to make the final score 1-3.
AFC Henley pushed Tower all the way and every player gave their all but Tower Hill just edged the game.
