St Eds started brightly with some good football and Matthew Woodley going close with a good effort striking the bar. Brightwell started to come into the game more and more as the half progressed bringing out a smart save from the St Eds keeper Hayden Jones. Finally Brightwell took the lead after a spell of pressure saw the ball hit the bar and in the ensuing scramble Toby Arup tucked the ball away.

Second half, both teams playing good football, however St Eds equalised through Matthew Woodley having won the ball drove the ball into the net. The second half progressed with both teams creating good chances at both ends but failing to add to the score.
