A SUPERB hat-trick from Tom Taylor helped Abingdon Youth to a convincing 3-0 victory at local rivals St Edmunds in the Oxford Mail Under 15 Youth League, writes PAUL LYON.

Taylor’s heroics helped Abingdon keep up the pressure at the top of Division C as they closed to within a point of league leaders Cumnor Minors.

Oxford Blackbirds progressed to the semi-finals of the KO Cup with a 4-1 win at Harwell & Hendred.

Kyreece Martei, Michael McDonagh, Tziah Meade and Joshua Cox found the net for Blackbirds.

Tyler Parson grabbed a consolation goal for Harwell.

In Division A, North Leigh went to the top of the table after a late header from Callum Davies earned a 1 - 0 away victory over struggling Purley Jubilee.

In the D League, Ewan Gifford and Jack Liu scored as second bottom Summertown Tigers beat Wantage Town Juniors 2-1.
