Gleys 1 Afc Newbury 3 Great game to watch played in A-league spirit. Gleys had early chances, and AFC Newbury took advantage of an early free kick from outside the area, and it was dispatched into the top corner and scored again when 1 on 1 with keeper and headed over for a second. Gleys pulled one back from the spot to make it 1-2 at halftime.
The Kites had many chances to equalise, and with 2 minutes left Newbury sealed the points with a late strike to take all 3 points.
