Kidlington Youth Celtic took on Last seasons champions Ardington at Evans Lane and shared the spoils in an entertaining game.
Kidlington had the better of the first half and led 1-0 at half time through a fine headed goal from Captain Ryan Hughes. Ardington responded well in the second half and scored a well deserved equaliser when Ben Barrett fired home from close range following a corner.
Kidlington then suffered a blow when they lost their goalkeeper Will Spackman through injury, but they need not have worried as replacement keeper Jake Kelly turned out to be their hero when firstly tipping a fierce free kick around the post and with minutes remaining brilliantly saved a penalty kick to earn his team a point
