The eagerly awaited season kicked off on a blustery day with the wind keeping the ball in the Abingdon half.
Some strong defending and good goalkeeping kept Marston at bay after some early pressure. Abingdon midfielder Ben Morris began to impose himself in the midfield and a well taken goal from Nathan Crossley gave Abingdon a half time lead.
Abingdon were unable to use the wind to their advantage and Marston pushed hard for an equaliser but the defence held firm. Having worked hard on the left for the second half Hayden Stone extended Abingdons lead with a powerful shot. Both teams could have had 5 or 6 goals but some outstanding goalkeeping from both keepers and the final score
