Radley march on towards title
Radley took another big step towards the U9s Red League Championship, with a fine display against a spirited Kidlington team.
Kidlington had much the better of the opening game, which finished goalless, with skipper Ben Stewart prominent in midfield. Sadly for the visitors, home keeper Matthew Crowther was in excellent form, making a number of outstanding saves, most notably to deny Callum Rolfe in the first half, then stopping a fine late effort from Marcus Tranter. When Radley did threaten they found visiting defender Will Baker on top of his game, a fine tackle late on stopping Radley nicking it.
In the second game, Radley showed championship class, with Stefan Allen and Finlay Irving scoring two goals apiece. They also hit the bar and post and only a spectacular save from visiting keeper Archie Devlin prevented further damage. Kidlington's only reply was a fine solo effort from top scorer Luca Sykes, to leave Radley 4-1 winners overall
