A hard fought and physical battle between two sides who like to play football. Horspath took the lead from a free kick somewhat against the run of play.Hanney only managed to get back on terms just before half time with a goal from Harry Andrew, then go on to take the lead thanks a a good individual goal from Philip Webster.
Almost straight from the kick off Horspath equalised and then had the better of the game for a while, it looked up until the final fifteen minutes that the game would end in a draw. Horspath's keeper was in fine form, Dan Fisher was also performing very well between the sticks for Hanney.
Hanney pushed on hard towards the end of the game and Ryhann Peters scored with a half volley to send all three points to the league leaders five minutes from time.
This was a very exciting and passionate match with some full blooded challenges. It was a fine spectacle and a great advert for boys football.
