Oxford City Stars welcome back skipper Darren Elliott as they face back-to-back fixtures against Coventry and Telford in the space of two days in South Division A.

However, they will have to do without the injured Andy Cox, while first-choice netminder Will Skaife faces a late fitness test on the shoulder he injured in last week's cup draw against Peterborough.

Today's visit to Coventry is followed by a home clash against Telford Tigers and maximum points would bring Stars level with leaders Peterborough Islanders.

However, defeat would all but end their slim hopes of finishing top.

Stars coach Darryl Morvan said his side were looking to turn the tables on Coventry after losing to the Midlanders earlier in the season.

But he says neither game will be easy.

"We know Coventry are an accomplished side, and we'll have to be on top form to get a result in their rink," said Morvan.

"And although Telford may look an easy fixture on paper, the results don't do them credit and they won't be giving us anything at all.

"In the league the situation is the same, we need to win our last league game of the season, and of course rely on other results to make the difference.

"Whatever happens, it has the potential to be an exciting end to the season, which I feel has again been successful for us".
