Oxford City Darryl Morvan has praised the resolve of his side following last weekend's double victory.
"It was a difficult against two teams who play with commitment and are always going to make any opponent earn a result against them," said a delighted Morvan.
"What makes the wins so much better is that we didn't play our best hockey, but when they needed to, the players dug deep and showed that they can do what needs to be done to get the result."
Morvan added: "We have had a tough season and are beginning to suffer the fatigue nine months of effort brings in a contact sport.
"It is very easy to forget that these players are amateurs, and have to fit in training and playing with their employment and education.
"They do it in a fashion that would put many professional athletes to shame."
