OXFORD City Stars’ head coach Kenny Redmond has warned two stern tests remain before they can celebrate becoming champions.

If they win their last two games of the regular season – both against Solent Devils – they will clinch the English National League South Division 2 title.

The first of these is at Oxpens tonight (6.15), with the return clash on April 7.

Redmond said: “Solent have a solid squad and done ever so well this season – both games will be a tough challenge.

“We are taking one game at a time and focusing on our game.

“If results go our way again today, we will have a massive opportunity, but regardless we know what we must do.

“Our aim was to be in contention at this stage, so to be in the mix is fantastic and is something that should spur everybody on.

“The backing from our fans, particularly at home, as been immense and has really helped us, particularly in the tough games.

“I’m sure they will get behind us again in great numbers and voice.”
