A PAIR of teenagers, who have spent time in Oxford City Stars’ junior set-up, have signed to join the senior ranks.

Will Harrison and Theo Bundock learned the ropes at Oxpens before getting their first taste of NIHL2 at Bristol.

But they have now returned, to the delight of head coach Kenny Redmond, who is keen to promote more young local talent into his senior squad.

He said: “Both players come were highly recommended from Jeff (Sykora, junior head coach) and Darryl (Morvan, head of hockey operations).

“They both looked good skaters at our summer camp this year.

“They are both excited about signing for the Stars and are keen to learn from me and the experienced players around them on the ice.

“Hopefully they will be the first of many juniors to ice for the Stars in the seasons ahead.”

Harrison 19, made six appearances for the Stars in the 2013/14 season.

Able to play in defensive and offensive roles, he has since accumulated experience with their junior side and Bristol Pitbulls.

Bundock, 18, captained Oxford’s under 18 development squad last season.

He has gained a reputation as a prolific goalscorer, having netted 116 times in the last two seasons, when he also appeared in NIHL2 for Bristol.
