NETMINDER Mark Duffy has agreed to join Oxford City Stars from Bracknell Hornets.

Simon Anderson's defensive options have also been bolstered by the return of Jake Florey, who has committed to another season at Oxpens in National League South Division 1.

Duffy's arrival will provide competition in goal to Tom Annets and the 28-year-old is looking forward to battling for the jersey.

He said: "I hope to push Tommy for game time, and to keep him performing at his best by being at my best right from the word go.

"Tommy and I have known each other for a long time, so Iā€™m looking forward to picking up a strong net minding partnership with him.ā€

Florey is only 21 but has made 85 appearances for the Stars and joins older brother Josh in returning for next season.

He said: "One of the things I love most right now has to be how tight our dressing room is.

"I can't imagine there is another team where every player gets on as well as our team and I think this helped us massively last year to pick up some of those results.ā€
