OXFORD Hawks started their Investec Conference West season with an impressive 4-1 home win against Trojans.
Lucy Stewart got them away to a perfect start, opening the scoring inside the first minute.
Trojans levelled, but Abi Flory restored the hosts’ lead before the break.
Hawks wrapped up a convincing opening day victory with second-half goals from Heather Francis and Jo Tolson.
It was part of a busy weekend for Hawks, who also hosted the Oxfordshire County Cups, with Banbury winning both the men’s and ladies’ titles.
