A goal two minutes from time saw Oxford Hawks go down to a 4-3 defeat at Sevenoaks in the South League Premier Division. Hawks started brightly in the pouring rain, going ahead after Sam Chilvers found the sideboard with a backhand shot. In the second half, Hawks had trouble keeping the ball and keeper Phil Hargraves pulled off a number of fine saves before Sevenoaks drew level.

Hawks went 2-1 up after Steve Kelly saw his cross deflected into the net by a Sevenoaks defender, but the home side soon drew level and then scored again to go 3-2 clear.

Chilvers made it 3-3 and with two minutes left, Hawks looked to be heading for a deserved draw.

However, a well-executed goal saw Sevenoaks grab all three points.

Goals from Andy Wynd, Mark Carpenter and Callum Mackenzie earned Oxford a 3-1 victory over local rivals Oxford Hawks 2nd at Banbury Road North in MBBO Regional Division 1.

Mackenzie set up the first goal for Wynd to tap home on his reverse stick for a 1-0 hal-time lead.

Oxford then went 2-0 up when Kit Cutter and George Payne combined well before Carpenter found the net.

Hawks reduced the arrears through Chris Burden, but any hopes of preserving their undefeated record were dashed when Mackenzie sealed Oxford’s win.

Wallingford went down 2-0 at home to Henley in Regional Division 1, but their second team notched a milestone by remaining unbeaten in league hockey for a year. They triumphed 5-1 at Milton Keynes 3rd thanks to Brett Horlock (2), Alex Mitchell, Dan Richardson and Baz Stokes to stay top of MBBO Division 3.

Tim Hardy hit four goals, but still finished on the losing side as Witney went down 6-5 away to West Hampstead 2nd in Regional Division 2.

Liam Frost was also on the mark as Witney slipped down to fourth in the table.
