Oxford went goal crazy against Banbury, running out 7-3 winners in South League Division 2.

Kim Haynes and Hayley Sawyer put them 2-1 ahead at the break and Oxford upped a gear in the second half to run away with it.

Player-of-the-match Haynes added two more, while Sawyer, Caro Harris and Catherine Reaney were also on the mark. Banbury replied twice.

Oxford went down 1-0 at Eastbourne in the first round of the England HA Trophy on Sunday. Keeper Phil Swindell made a string of fine saves, while Caro Harris and Rachael Lammey both saw shots go just wide from penalty corners, but a single first-half strike proved enough for Eastbourne.

Goals from Emily Smith and Bex Oakes gave Oxford Hawks the points against Bromley & Beckenham in Conference East.

Witney lost 3-2 to Oxford 2nd in South Division 3A, falling to a last-minute goal.

Witney dominated a goalless first half, but could not find a way through.

Karen Easterbrook netted twice after the break, but Oxford took the spoils from a late penalty corner.

Bicester were beaten 5-3 away to Wycombe 2nd.

Lilla Venning was on the mark as Bicester trailed 2-1 at the break.

Ella Weston and Kath Crook found ther net after the interval, but it was not enough.

Kidlington recorded their second success of the season, beating Milton Keynes 2nd 3-0. Ellie Desmond and Kasey Butler put them 2-0 ahead at the interval, with Nicola Pidduck’s spectacular effort completing victory.
