Oxford Ladies battled hard but proved no match for a powerful Surbiton side, who won 7-1 in their EHA Women’s 2nd XI Cup first round tie.
Despite a good display in goal from Phil Swindell (pictured left), Surbiton scored five times in the first half.
Oxford pulled one back after some great attacking play from captain Ruth Bedford, who drove at the defence before passing to Niki Forecast, who finished well.
In the second half, Oxford fought hard to deny Surbiton, but still conceded two more goals.
