Skipper Kieran Roche scored twice as Oxford Hawks drew 3-3 with Oxford University in an entertaining South League Premier 1 clash at Iffley Road.

The Dark Blues, who are struggling in the league, rescued a point with a late goal.

The students took the lead after 12 minutes with a close-range goal from Tom Jackson.

Hawks levelled when Dan Rhodes reverse-sticked the ball from the left to find a sliding Roche who first-timed it into the net.

Within minutes, Hawks went ahead when Roche deflected a ball high into the netrom a right wing cross to make it 2-1 at half-time.

Hawks seemed to have the game won when Rhodes made it 3-1.
