Catherine Reaney scored four times for Oxford in their local derby against Oxford University on Saturday – but still finished on the losing side.
The students triumped 5-4 in a South Clubs League Division 2 thriller.
Lyn Cockshott bagged a hat-trick as Oxford 2nd thrashed Hampstead & Westminster 7-1 in Division 3A. Holly Turner (2), Lotje Klaver and Amy Mobley were also on target.
Oxford Hawks showed no mercy to struggling Barnes, running out convincing 3-0 winners over the Londoners in Conference West.
Jess Hudson pulled off an outstanding save to deny the visitors an early lead, but Hawks were quick to reply.
A strike from Becky Odlin was deflected against the crossbar and Abi Flory cleverly converted the rebound. Lucy Stewart finished a perfectly executed penalty corner routine to make it 2-0 at the break.
In the second half, Hudson was again called upon to keep Barnes at bay, before Odlin won a penalty corner, which was expertly converted by Stewart for her second of the match.
Bicester went down 7-3 at South Bucks in Trysports Three-Counties League Premier 1.
The visitors were in contention at the break, trailing 3-2 with Meg Scott and Emma Gordon on the mark.
Ella Weston notched a third for Bicester in the second half, but South Bucks added four more to run out victors.
