Oxford Hawks continued their fine run of form in Women's Conference East with a 4-0 victory over Chelmsford – their biggest of the season. A penalty corner buried by Takara Haines opened the scoring for the home side and they doubled their lead when Haines was fouled and Kirsty Chapman made it 2-0.

Player-of-the-match Abi Flory’s fine individual goal saw Hawks in command at the break, and Kathryn Poulter’s second-half effort made sure Hawks stayed in the top half of the table.

Oxford pipped Brighton & Hove 4-3 in South Clubs League Division 2.

Brighton led 2-0 at half-time, but Oxford came out with all guns blazing as two Catherine Reaney goals put them level.

A great move saw captain Kim Haynes set up Caro Harris for Oxford’s third, only for Brighton to force an equaliser. Oxford were not to be denied, however, and player-of-the-match Hayley Sawyer got a deft touch to a Harris cross for the winner.

Oxford 2nd picked up four points from their two Divison 3A fixtures.
