HOCKEY: Bicester let 2-0 lead slip away

Bicester were pipped 3-2 at home to South Bucks in Trysports Premier 1. Kath Crook put Bicester ahead after Ella Weston’s speedy run.

With Lucy Birtles, Hannah Newell and Lisa Ryan to the fore in defence, South Bucks struggled to find a reply.

Five minutes before the break, Bicester made it 2-0 via Weston from a short corner. South Bucks came out with all guns blazing in the second half and found the net three times to take the points.
