Chipping Norton’s director of golf, Neil Rowlands, finished second in the PGA Southern Region Pro Am at Belek in Turkey.

Rowlands carded four-under-par, three shots behind winner Richard Wallis.

Chipping Norton’s team of pro Rowlands and amateurs Graham Reynolds, Mark Stanton, and John Evans finished sixth.

• MARTIN Baker secured Oxford City’s Blight Hopkins Trophy by a single shot.

The trophy is awarded to the player with the best seven nett medal rounds throughout the year.

Ten-handicapper Baker finished on 487 shots for an average of 69.6, with Adam Wootton edging out Ian Bound on countback for second after they both scored 488.
