OXFORDSHIRE'S Eddie Pepperell finished tied 51st at the Italian Open.
The Abingdon golfer had moved on the heels of the leaders after a superb five-under-par 66 on Saturday.
But a torrid start to his final round today saw the Frilford Heath member struggle.
A bogey on the second was followed by a double-bogey on the third.
Although he birdied the fourth, 13th and 15th, another dropped shot at the last saw him one-over for the day, and eight-under for the tournament.
