FURTHER weather delays meant that Eddie Pepperell was able to play only two holes of his second round in the Hero Indian Open at New Delhi today.
But the Abingdon golfer remains in contention in third spot, after his rivals had to endure a day of high-scoring.
After bogeying his first hole, he had a birdie at the second before bad light halted play.
Pepperell’s three-under-par score leaves him two shots behind the leader, India’s SSP Chawrasia, who defied the tough conditions to shoot 67 for a two round total of five-under-par 139.
Englishman David Horsey is in second place on 140 after a 74.
