EVEN a bogey at the final hole could not prevent Eddie Pepperell’s march towards reclaiming his card on the European Tour.

A three-under-par 69 put the Abingdon golfer into a share of third place at the European Tour’s Final Qualifying Stage.

It puts him in an excellent position ahead of Thursday’s final round at the PGA Catalunya Resort.

The top 25 players after the sixth round will secure their place on Tour, which Pepperell lost last month due to a slump in form.

But the Frilford Heath member stayed firmly on track yesterday, picking up shots at the first, seventh, 11th and 12th before the one blemish at the last.
