WORLD Cup-winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks was the guest speaker at North Oxford on Friday night.

The 76-year-old entertained the 120-strong audience with tales of England’s 1966 triumph and was followed by comedian Jed Stone.

It was all in aid of SeeSaw, which is the chosen charity for North Oxford’s 2014 captains Alan Wood and Fay Luteijn.

About £800 was raised from the evening for the Oxfordshire charity, which provides support to children who have suffered a bereavement.

  • ZED Kundishora had a hole in one at North Oxford’s 11th hole, the second time in seven weeks he has aced the 129-yard par three.
