VALE of White Horse Under 11s turned on the style to beat Newbury 2-0 in the County League at Oxford Brookes Westminster Institute of Education.

They took the lead in the 14th minute when Jack Howes released Joe Hartley, who brushed off two challenges before shooting past keeper Jack North.

Vale clinched victory after the break with a terrific team goal.

Josh Dunn and Alex Hayler were involved, before Hartley exchanged passes with Howes and then laid the ball back for Jack Stanley to rifle home a thunderous shot from 20 yards.
