Leaders Oxford City needed a late winner from Elizabeth Wotherspoon to earn a 3-2 victory away to Kidlington.

A brace from Leanne Elias had put City two goals to the good, but the away side levelled through Holly Baker and Brooke Eagle goals, only to be left heartbroken by Wotherspoon’s winner.

Poppy Bridgeman’s brace gave Crowmarsh a 2-0 win at home to Abingdon Youth in the Blue League.

Wantage Town got their Under 15 League Cup bid off to a perfect start with a 3-0 win at Carterton Town in Group B.

Quarry Rovers reached the semi-finals of the Under 14 League Cup Plate, with a penalty shoot-out win over Barton United, following a 1-1 draw.

Amy Gillett had put Quarry in front, but Chelsea Cox’s equaliser forced the game to spot-kicks.

Rovers held their nerve, winning the shoot-out 4-2.

Headington Youth opened up a four-point lead at the top of the Under 12 Red League, with a 2-1 victory over Oxford City.

A fabulous solo effort from Hermione Prescott-Luke put the hosts in front and Laura Prior doubled the advantage.

City pulled a goal back through Summer Major, but they were unable to force an equaliser.

A Maddie Sheppard brace gave Wantage Town a 2-1 victory over Didcot Town.

Rebecca Agg cancelled out the opener, but Sheppard’s second – direct from a corner – won it for Wantage.

In the Blue League, Quarry Rovers came from behind to win 2-1 at Witney Vikings.

A Scarlett Henman goal put the hosts in front at the break, but Rovers turned it around thanks to goals from Sarah Askew and Katherine Niland.

Kidlington breezed into the semi-finals of the League Cup Plate, with an 8-0 home win over Launton.

Fiona Baker hit a five-timer, while Rebecca Pegden, Phoebe Pipkin and Chloe Upellini also scored.

They will meet Tower Hill Vixens in the next round, who beat Stonesfield Strikers 2-0.

Goals from Emma Hitchman and Emily Hoare secured victory.
