GIRLS' FOOTBALL: Ellie Mitchell doubles up in Wantage Town victory
ELLIE Mitchell netted twice as Wantage Town edged in 3-2 at home to Kidlington in the Oxford Mail Girls Under 14 League.
Mitchell opened the scoring after two minutes, tapping home after Lauren Froud’s long throw cleared the visiting defence.
Wantage doubled their lead when Ella Seijido scored directly from a corner.
On 35 minutes Kidlington pulled a goal back when an unmarked Cloe Antonen fired in a shot from just outside the area.
Six minutes later, Mitchell added Wantage’s third.
At the other end, Kidlington’s Mia Thomson netted to set up a close finish.
