WOMEN'S FOOTBALL: Impressive Oxford City storm into cup final
OXFORD City Ladies Under 18s breezed into the final of the Thames Valley Counties League Cup with a convincing 5-0 win at home to Aylesbury United.
Lara Althorp opened the scoring on 26 minutes direct from a corner and Shelley Knight made it 2-0 in the 28th minute with a 25-yard screamer.
Molly Lygo added the third in the 75th minute after latching onto a through ball from Sarah Harrison, sparking a late flurry of goals.
Becci Bostock headed home at the far post just a minute later to make it 4-0 and Ellie Larkin completed the scoring a minute from time.
The victory sets up a final clash with Winchester City on Saturday, April 23, at Milton United.
