TWO second-half goals from Milly Parchment gave Benson United a 3-1 win away to Charlbury in the Oxford Mail Girls League Under 12 Blue League.

The home side took an early lead through Lula Blayney, but Ruby Bridges equalised before the break and Parchment’s double handed them victory.

The win lifts Benson above Charlbury into second place in the table.

Leschea Guiste also scored twice, helping Summertown Stars White to an 8-0 friendly victory at home to Abingdon Youth.

Aisha Horbury, Natalia Sved, Ruth Tyson and Ana Sarwar also found the net, alongside an own goal.

Nina Woods struck late on to give Carterton Town a narrow 1-0 victory at home to Wantage Town in the opening match of the Under 16 League Cup Group A.

The hosts had struggled to find a way past the Wantage goalkeeper, with Jess Reeder and Hannah Jarvis both being denied.

But the deadlock was finally broken by a longrange effort from Woods late in the game, which proved enough to hand the home side victory.

In the Under 14 League, Kidlington were 2-0 winners at home to Wantage Town.

The visitors defended solidly for the first half, but found themselves breached six minutes into the second when Lily Tyrell struck from close range.

Polly Hipkiss doubled the lead 16 minutes later to secure the victory.

Two goals each from Amy Norfolk and Ellie Mander helped Launton to a 4-4 draw away to Carterton Town in Group D of the Under 13 League Cup.
