OXFORD City Ladies came from behind to win 2-1 at Swindon Town in Thames Valley Counties League Under 18 Division 1.
City dominated the opening exchanges, but found themselves a goal down at half-time thanks to Kathryn Bach’s breakaway goal.
And they were indebted to goalkeeper Lucy Hunter for keeping them in the game eight minutes into the second half when she saved a penalty to prevent the hosts going 2-0 up.
The introduction of substitute Lara Althorp paid instant dividends for City as she equalised just three minutes after coming off the bench following good work from Kiera Isaac.
And City completed the turnaround from the penalty spot after Shelley Knight had been brought down.
Captain Courtney Sumner sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 2-1 and maintain City’s four-point lead at the top of the table.
