Natasha Caswell has joined Oxford United Women’s staff as an attacking coach.
The former U’s midfielder retired from playing last summer and has been working with the club’s under 17 and under 19 sides.
Caswell joined in 2011 and was part of the side which won back-to-back league titles on their way to earning a place in the Women’s Super League last year.
She said: “I’m delighted with the opportunity to work with the first team.
“I know the players and staff well and I’m excited to get started.
“The club has gone from strength to strength during my time here and I’m looking forward to being a part of that continuation.”
Richard Blackmore, general manager of the women’s and youth departments, said: “Long-term we believe the younger players coming through will benefit with Natasha coaching.
“Natasha has had a successful time with Oxford United as a player, including our back-to-back promotions and our treble-winning year of 2011-12.
“She has a great deal of knowledge within the female game as a player and we know from her meetings with (women’s manager) Les Taylor she can’t wait to get started.”
The women’s team are back in WSL 2 action on Sunday with a rearranged fixture.
They welcome Yeovil Town to Northcourt Road on Sunday (7).
