Katie Stanley set up Oxford United's opening goal
OXFORD United Women beat Southampton Saints 2-0 in their penultimate pre-season friendly at Abingdon United.
Oxford took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Rosie Lane turned home a cross from Katie Stanley.
United’s second goal came in the dying minutes as Gemma Simmonds met Lauren Allison’s through ball and slotted home.
- TOWER Hill Ladies moved up to second in the Southern Region League Northern Division 1 table with a thumping 6-1 win at Fleet Town.
Carly Thomas (2), Lisa Freeman, Samantha Bevan-Talbot, Sophie Grimson and Lauren Major did the damage.
