OXFORD Academy have been crowned national five-a-side champions.
They captured the ESFA Munich Trophies Under 12 Indoor Schools’ Cup at the Derby Soccerdome with a 5-4 penalty shoot-out win over St Ignatius College (Enfield) in the final.
Captain Dejan Tetek had equalised for Oxford as the tie finished 1-1 after extra time.
Goalkeeper Luka Nestorovic scored the first penalty for Oxford in the shoot-out and then saved St Ignatius’s opener.

Diogo Tjim, Connor Barrett, Latrell Ewers and Tetek also netted from the spot.
Oxford had beaten Valley Gardens (Whitley Bay) 3-1 in the semi-finals, with Claudio Asorio (2) and Tjim on target.
Oxford are now chasing a national double after a 5-1 win over Dame Alice Owens School (Potters Bar) in the ESFA Under 12 PlayStation 9-a-side Schools’ Cup quarter-final.
Callum Crook hit a hat-trick, with Tyler Webb and Barrett also netting.
