SADIE Timbs took just 20 minutes to notch a hat-trick on her way to a four-timer as Abingdon Youth beat Quarry Rovers 7-0 in the Oxford Mail Girls' League Under 12 League Cup.

The home side took a four-goal lead into the break, thanks to the exploits of Timbs and another goal from Jevon Brown.

And they continued to add to their tally in the second half, with Timbs netting another, either side of strikes from Layla Dovey and Olivia Day.

There was another a hat-trick for Damini Bhagat as Oxford City won 5-1 at home to Didcot Casuals.

Molly Jones also scored for City alongside an own goal, with Farah Khan pulling one back for the visitors shortly after the break.

Benson United were 4-0 victors at home to Wantage Town in the Under 15 League Cup.

Mollie Gallagher put the hosts 1-0 up at the break, before a goal from Emily Bailey and a late Amy Loveridge brace put the result beyond doubt.

In the Under 11 League, Grove Challengers won 4-2 at Summertown Stars White following an action-packed second half.

Charlotte Evans opened the scoring for the hosts a minute after half-time and Leschea Guiste also netted.

However, it was Grove who ran away with it, thanks to a Cara Kerby double and goals from Kate Barnett and Mya Stock.

  • SAMANTHA Bevan-Talbot scored a late winner as Tower Hill Ladies came from behind for a dramatic 4-3 win at Southern Region Women’s League Division 1 Northern leaders MK City.

Having lost the reverse game 4-1 in October, Tower Hill fell behind on seven minutes through Kirsty Walker.

But within minutes Tower Hill were level, when Bevan-Talbot fired into the top right corner of the net from close range.

Tower Hill’s Katie Wright had a goal ruled out for offside, before they went ahead. Carly Thomas fired in a shot from outside the box which the keeper fumbled over the line.

Tower kept up the pressure and made it 3-1 when midfielder Ellen Hopkins beat several players before lashing home from 20 yards.

After the break, MK City came out fired up and clawed a goal back through Jordan Bateman while Tower were down to ten with Jess Witcher off receiving treatment.

The hosts equalised on 75 minutes when Gina Burns fired in.

But seven minutes from time Tower Hill bagged the winner, with a superb strike from Bevan-Talbot.
