The 17-year-old striker, who plays for Oxford City’s youth side, has made it through to the final 33.

Patterson, from Headington, earned his place after impressing for the South West in the recent English Schools’ FA development day at Lilleshall.

He will now go forward to the next stage in the selection process, with games against the RAF and Navy representative teams on January 9.

The tie is to take place on or before Saturday, January 17.
