SOUTH & WEST COUNTIES YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP
OXFORDSHIRE Under 18s reached the Mick Parry Cup final after a penalty shoot-out victory over Dorset at Kidlington.
Jack Evans (Oxford City) scored the winning spot-kick to give Oxon a 5-4 victory after the match finished level at 2-2.
Oxfordshire will face Cornwall in the final at Carterton FC on Saturday, April 6.
A dramatic clash saw both teams have a player sent off and Dorset equalise in the dying moments of normal and extra time.
Oxon, who gave a debut to under 16 goalkeeper Freddie Gee (Newbury) went close in the first half via City duo Aky Chreidy and Amer Adwah.
It was still 0-0 on 72 minutes when Oxfordshire had a defender sent-off, but Adwah beat three defenders to give them the lead.
Dorset levelled three minutes into stoppage time, had a midfielder dismissed for a second yellow card ten minutes into extra time.
Chreidy’s 20-yard strike put Oxon ahead before Dorset scored a last-minute penalty. Their goals came from Morgan Turner and Oliver Woodcock.
In the shoot-out, Gee saved Dorset’s sixth penalty, leaving Evans to win the tie.
Oxon refused to name the player they had sent off.
