MOLLIE Dyer fired a five-timer as Didcot Girls’ School stormed to a 9-2 win at Thomas Hardye, from Dorchester in Dorset, in the ESFA Under 14 PlayStation Schools’ Cup sixth round.

Skipper Katie Miller weighed in with a hat-trick, and Natalie Hazell-McMillan completed Didcot’s tally.

They are now away to local rivals Wallingford in the quarter-finals, with the prize for the winners a trip to Highworth, from Ashford in Kent, in the last four.

Jordan Harris led the way with four goals as Didcot beat Lord Williams’s (Thame) in the Oxfordshire Girls’ Under 16 Cup semi-final.

Gemma O’Donnovan helped herself to a hat-trick, and Charlie Deeley sealed victory with a 35-yard drive.

Didcot now face King Alfred’s (Wantage) in the final.

  •  CHENEY (Oxford) were out of luck in the ESFA Munich Trophies Under 12 Indoor 5-a-side Schools’ Cup national finals at the Derby Soccerdome.

They finished bottom of Group B after losing their three matches.

Cheney went down 2-0 to St Wilfrid’s (Burgess Hill, Sussex), 3-0 to Wilmslow (Chesh-ire) and 2-1 to eventual champions South Hunsley (Melton, Yorkshire).
